The 6th Annual “In Unity, We Rise” Conference (May 2018)

We are celebrating our 6th Annual Freedom 4 Youth “In Unity We Rise” Leadership Week on May 18 – 20, 2018 at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) & the Los Prietos Boys Camp (LPBC).  The events will honor and appreciate our youth, student leaders, UCSB faculty and the Santa Barbara County Probation staff who contribute their expertise and commitment to our community.

MAY 18 @ LPBC & UCSB

“In Unity We Rise,” appreciation lunch @ LPBC & dinner @ UCSB with performances by the Los Prietos Boys Camp youth and a panel of world-renowned speakers and educators.  This year we welcome Assemblywoman Monique Limon,  InsideOut Writers Chairman of the Board Todd Rubenstein, Movie Producer Scott Budnick (Hangover movie and Road Trip), Hector Verdugo with Homeboy Industries, Actor Noel G. and many more.

MAY 19 & 20 @ Los Prietos Boys Camp 

Youth will engage in hands on interactive peer-to-peer mentoring activities that are focused on healthy relationship skills & development, self-realization & mindfulness practices, educational and career goal setting, and action planning. 

Workshops are designed to empower youth through building their written and oral communication skill sets, along with their emotional competencies, while developing their personal wellness and life goals.

Our last day is our family reunification day and shared with the family members.
